new year too long
Well since my last post we have gotten a new dog. His name is Ziggy, he is an american bulldog. He loves Payton, but Paul not so much. The boys are good, fighting like cats and dogs. Growing fast, Paul got his own phone for his birthday in November. He doesnt get alot of calls yet but i know it wont be long. I will start posting more , funny stories and pics, but I am at pool now. Until then....

While grandma was here we kind of got her hooked on our new addiction. Wii Kareoke. We LOVE it. She called be the day after she left, she went out that morning @ 11am and bought a Wii and Kareoke discs. Mind you she got home @ 3 am and was out shopping 8 hours later.
August 12th was Payton's 5th birthday we did a dinner at our house on that day and had his party 8/22/09. Was so late you ask, he has a cousin born 2 days before him and her mom always takes the weekend of their birthday. So two weeks after it is.
We had a waterslide for the kids. What a hit that was. They all had a blast.
August 24th, ok here come the tears, was Payton's first day of Kindergarten. What?? when did he get so old.
No it is October 7th and he is a pro. He is on his 2nd school already. Our boundry school was a bad experience with Paul. I swore Payton Would not go there. Unnfortunatly the Distrist lost my transfer form. we had to reapply and school started before we heard back. He is now in a great school, after another transfer "mishap". But this new school is great it is an Academic kindergarten rather than a social kindergarten.
Well I will catch up on more news and pics in a day or two.
Until Then.....

It's Been Awhile

Well it has been awhile since my last post. We have been having a very hectic summer. Since our last post My hubby and I celebrated our 13Th anniversary. Pretty Cool. My mother in law is coming out on Friday for 9 days, the boys are so excited to see her. We haven't seen her since we went back to Illinois for x-mas. Here are a few pictures form this weekend and a conversation I had with Payton, Driving from 1 birthday Party to Another on Sunday.
Payton: Mom, Where are we going?
Me: To the park where my cousin got married.
Payton: Why did she get buried, that is sad.
ME: No She got married, had a wedding remember.
Payton: Oh Yeah, that was happy.
Me: Yes it was
Payton: Mom, will it be sad when I have to die?
Me: Yes, It Will.
Payton: But first i have to get married.
Me: Yes you do.
Payton: No, first I have to find someone to marry.
Me: Thats right.
Payton: Wait no, first i have to get a ring.
Finally a man that knows what he needs.
This conversation made me smile, He is so cute and smart, i could eat him up.

So we were offered a couple of Bearded Dragon lizards, they are coming to our house today. The boys are soooo excited, me I am not so sure.
Paul received his first yearbook yesterday and made a cameo picture as a sixth grader, he is the man. He is growing up so fast, i can't believe he is going into 7th grade.
As for Payton he is very crabby lately, but he did cuddle with me the other day and watched Aladdin, that is until 8:45pm. Then he says " I am missing sleep", i told him to go to bed. he then informed me he was "waiting for Paul". Duh. So i put them in bed at which time he says" I probably wont get much sleep tonight because i think i am going to wake up with a heart attack". WHAT! I told him he wont have a heart attack. He says " but mom you have them all the time", i said "no, I have Heart burn", and his reply " oh yeah, that is what i am going to have". What a character he is.

Well with no pets in the house a friend offered me a couple of bearded dragons. I kindly refused, so what does she do, tell me husband about them. And of course he did the first thing any supportive husband would do, declined also.... not quite he told our boys about them.
All weekend I heard little voices mom can we get the dragon lizzards, great. Well needless to say I gave in, they girl is going to bring them over this week. I figure maybe this way i wont start hearing those same little voices asking for a puppy. Too early to think about another dog our other dogs have only been gone for 1 week and 1 day.

tragic week
this is my first post, not really sure what i am doing but here it goes....
Let me start by telling you about my two boys Paul 11, and Payton 4. They are complete opposites, Paul was the "perfect baby/toddler". He is very mellow and easy going. He has the biggest heart you have every seen and loves all living things. Payton, However is the daredevil, get into everything, and I mean everything, Hyper, strong willed, inquisitive one.
Needless to say with the strong willed one being younger these two fight all the time. The right of passage for an older brother is to be able to tell the little one what to do and he does it. In our house the little one thinks he runs the show and you can imagine all the "personality clashes" these two have.
Anyway This week we had not one but two tragic events happen in our household that devistated My husband, Myself, Paul and Payton.
On Tuesday We had to take our Dog Buddy, an 11 year old Weimaraner to the Vet to be put to sleep. The week before we took him in because he was having trouble breathing. They found a mass on his heart about the size of his heart.
When we got home my husband dropped Paul and I off at the house to start on homework, when he got back from picking Payton up at daycare, he left the door open so he could bring his golf clubs in, well grace our 81/2 year old Weimaraner followed him outside, a few minutes later she saw a person walking some dogs across the street and went to cross to see them, just then a truck came around the corner, a little too fast, and struck grace. My husband tried to pick her up but she was in so much pain and shock she bit him. She worked her way over to our front yard and passed away. This was within 1 hour of buddy being put to sleep. Now we live a a gated community with 47 homes on three short cul-da-sac streets, the driver was doing 20 - 25 a littel fast if you ask me. Not totally his fault but she may have survived if he was being cautious like he should have been. So not a great way to start our week maybe next week will be better.
