this is my first post, not really sure what i am doing but here it goes....
Let me start by telling you about my two boys Paul 11, and Payton 4. They are complete opposites, Paul was the "perfect baby/toddler". He is very mellow and easy going. He has the biggest heart you have every seen and loves all living things. Payton, However is the daredevil, get into everything, and I mean everything, Hyper, strong willed, inquisitive one.
Needless to say with the strong willed one being younger these two fight all the time. The right of passage for an older brother is to be able to tell the little one what to do and he does it. In our house the little one thinks he runs the show and you can imagine all the "personality clashes" these two have.
Anyway This week we had not one but two tragic events happen in our household that devistated My husband, Myself, Paul and Payton.
On Tuesday We had to take our Dog Buddy, an 11 year old Weimaraner to the Vet to be put to sleep. The week before we took him in because he was having trouble breathing. They found a mass on his heart about the size of his heart.
When we got home my husband dropped Paul and I off at the house to start on homework, when he got back from picking Payton up at daycare, he left the door open so he could bring his golf clubs in, well grace our 81/2 year old Weimaraner followed him outside, a few minutes later she saw a person walking some dogs across the street and went to cross to see them, just then a truck came around the corner, a little too fast, and struck grace. My husband tried to pick her up but she was in so much pain and shock she bit him. She worked her way over to our front yard and passed away. This was within 1 hour of buddy being put to sleep. Now we live a a gated community with 47 homes on three short cul-da-sac streets, the driver was doing 20 - 25 a littel fast if you ask me. Not totally his fault but she may have survived if he was being cautious like he should have been. So not a great way to start our week maybe next week will be better.
